THE COST OF

FREEDOM

CAMPAIGN

ABOUT

For over a decade, The Cost Of Freedom (TCOF) Campaign has been a grassroots movement in Idaho dedicated to raising awareness about modern-day slavery and honoring the lives affected by this ongoing crisis.

Through film screenings, community vigils, art, education, and public events, we’ve stood alongside survivors, advocates, students, and families breaking the silence and sparking transformative change.

TCOF has partnered with youth-led groups, Indigenous communities, universities, and both local and international organizations to host impactful events such as the Anti-Human Trafficking Symposium, A21 Walk for Freedom, and the Laptop Fundraiser—all aimed at awareness-building, education, and survivor empowerment.

Today, TCOF is more than a campaign. We are a movement committed to challenging the ways we think about power and liberation by amplifying survivor wisdom, and using education as a tool for collective liberation and revolutionary change.

Co-Creating Liberated Futures

What could a world with liberated systems look like if we built it together?

TCOF is welcoming proposals for 2026 partnerships with local creatives, educators, youth leaders, Indigenous organizers, and community-based nonprofits. We believe liberation is a collective practice, and together we can design spaces that nurture imagination, and reformation.

Through workshops, art exhibits, and community gatherings, we will reimagine what collective freedom means in practice and begin sketching the blueprints for liberated systems in education and community life. This is an invitation to co-create new ways of learning, creating, socializing, and living—rooted in justice, care, and liberation.

The Cost of Freedom Documentary

The “Cost of Freedom: Human Trafficking in Idaho” documentary film highlights interviews from Idaho's survivors, leaders, professionals and advocates of human trafficking. The documentary aims to briefly inform on the historical and personal accounts of human trafficking experiences, the policies and laws concerning human trafficking, legislative duties that can impact the outcome of human trafficking in the state and lastly, what individuals, families, and communities in Idaho can do to protect one another and prevent the occurrence of this issue in Idaho.
